FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES (FDP)

Under this program, we send our faculty members to attend various seminars / workshop / conferences to develop their teaching skills. Some of these are mentioined hereunder :

SESSION 2002-2003

•  Dr. Bahadur Singh, Lect. in Hindi participated in the National Workshop on Aids Education and its Prevention Training Orientation and Research Center, Chandigarh on 23rd to 25th July 2002.

•  Dr. Sultan Singh, Lect. in Commerce participated in the Workshop on Financial Derivatives and Paperless Trading organized by Department of Business Management, Guru Jambheshwar  University, Hisar on 3rd and 4th Sept.,2002.

•  Dr. Sultan Singh, lact. in Commerce attended a Workshop on Emerging Trends in India Banking Sector on 8th Sept. 2002 at MAIMT, Jagadhri.

•  Ms. Karuna, Lect. in Economics participated in 3 weeks Refresher Course in Economics organized by Academic Staff Collage, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar from August 21st to Sept. 10th, 2002.

•  Mr. Ramesh kumar, Lect. in Commerce registered as a Ph.D. Scholar in the Deptt. of Commerce, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra under the supervision of Dr. Ramesh Dalal on the topic Impact of Employess Stock Option Plan (ESOP) on Corporate Productivity on Oct. 22, 2002

•  Ms. Meenakshi, Lect. in Commercial Arts acted as Judge in a competition held on the occasion of Blood Donation camp in Guru Nanak Khalsa Collage, Yamuna Nagar on 16th Nov. ,2002

•  Mr. Meenakshi, Lect. in Commercial Arts attended a Five days Workshop held at kanya Mahavidyalaya, Pundri, Distt. Kaithal From 17th 21st Dec. 2002.

•  Dr. Sultan Singh, Lact. in commerce attended a Seminar on management IT Education in India on 8th Feb. 2003 at ,MAIMT , Jagadhri.

•  Dr. Sultan Singh, Lect.  in Commerce attended a Workshop on Beyond Copying and Excelling in  the Real World on 15th Feb.  2003 at MAIMT, Jagadhri.

•  Organised a lecture of Prof. A.S. Chaudhary , retired Professor, Deptt. of Business mgt. , kurukshetra University , Kurukshetra on How to Proform , Deptt. of for the faculty members of the collage on 22nd Feb. 2003.

•  A Debate on budget Analysis 2003 was organized by Deptt. of Economics in the collage on 4th March, 2003.

•    Dr. Sultan Singh, Lact.  in Commerce attended a National Seminar on Problem and Prospects of Small Scale Industries in North-Western India on 8th &9th March, 2003 organized by Deptt. of business Economics, Guru Nanak Jambheshwar  University, Hisar.

•  Ms. Karuna, Lect. in Economics attended a Symposium on Declining Female Sex Ratio organized by Woman Studies Resarch centre, Kurukshetra University , Kurukshetra on 8th March, 2003.

•  Dr. Sultan Singh, Lect. in Commerce attended a National Seminar & Academic Industry Interface on Changing Horizons of Corporate Governance and Restructuring of Industry of India on 14th to 16th march ,2003 organized by M.M. Group of Institutions, Mullana (Ambala) (Presented a Paper titled 'Restructring of Indian banking Some Suggestions")

•  Dr. Sultan Singh, Lect in Commerce attended a National Seminar on Emerging  Trends in Financing Service and International Business in 24th & 25th march 2003 organized by deptt. of Business management, Guru Nanak Jambheshwar University , Hisar ( Presented A Paper titled ' Corporate Governance in Public Sector Banks).

•  Mr. karuna Lect. in Economics attended a Seminar on Woman Atrocities organized by National Woman Commission at D.C. Office, Yamuna Nagar on 1st April 2003.

• .Sh. M.L. Singla Lact. in Commerce registered as a Ph. D. Scholar in Kurukshetra University , Kurukshetra on 8th April, 2003 under the guidance of Prof. D.S. Bhardwaj, Dean, faculty of Commerce , Management& Tourism, KUK on the topic Financial Appraisal : A Study of Selected Five Star Hotels in India.

•   Ms. Shelly Gupta, Lecturer in Commerce registered as a Ph.D. Scholar in Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut in April, 2003 under the guidance of Dr. A.K. Jain, Departmentof Commerce, J.V. Jain Collage, Saharanpur and dr. Sultan Singh, Department of Commerce, Maharaja Agrasen Collage, (External) on the topic on Appraisal of Customer Service of Public Sector Banks in Haryana.

• Dr. R.S Wadhawan , Dr. Sultan Singh, Dr. Seema Gupta, Ms. Anita Dhingra, Ms. Dolly Bansal, Ms. Shelly Gupta, Ms. Shilpa Jain attended a faculty Development Programme on Managing in Tough Times organized by Yamuna Nagar - Jagadhri Management Association (YJMA) on 23rd April, 2003 at Madhu Hotel, Yamuna Nagar.

• Dr. R.S Wadhawan has been awarded Ph.D. Degree by Chaudhary Charan  Singh University, Meerut under the guidance of Dr. J. D. Jain retired Professor, J.V  Jain  Collage, Saharnpur in April 2003 on the topic Export Financing by State Bank of India.          

 SESSION 2003 -2004

•  Sh. S.C. Dhingra & Sh. Ramesh Kumar, Ms. Anita Dhingra ,Lact. in Commerce attended a Two Days Workshop organized by Department of Commerce Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in connection with New Syllabus of Under-Graduate and Post- Graduate classes on 6th to 7th August, 2003.

• Ms. Shilpa Jain, Lect. in Economics attended a National Seminar on WTO-The Road Ahead for India organized by  TIMT, Yamuna  Nagar on 11th October, 2003 and also presented a paper on the topic The WTO : From Doha to Cancun.

• Dr. R.S. Wadhawan delivered a lecture on the General Principles of Management on 15th Oct. 2003 at M.M. Group of Institution Mulana (Ambala).

• Ms. Karuna, Lect. in Economics attended a Workshop on Status Woman in Contemporary World organized by M.D. S.D. Collage , Ambala City on 17th October, 2003.

• Dr. Sultan  Singh, Ms. Dolly Bansal, Ms. Shelly Gupta, Lecturers in Commerce, Ms. Shilpa Jain , Sh. Kapil Batra, Lect. in Economics attended a Faculty Development Programme on 19th October, 2003 at Chandigarh organized by ICFAI Branch, Chandigarh.

• Dr. R.S. Wadhawan, Dr. Sultan Singh, Lect. in Commerce, Ms. Karuna, Mr. Ganesh Saini, Sh. Kapil batra, Lect. in Economics attended 23th Annual Conference of Haryana Economic Association held at Collage of Agriculture CCS HAU Compus Kaul, Kaithal on 22th Oct. 2003 Five papers on different topics were presented in this conference by respective teachers.

• Dr. Bahadur Singh, Lect. in Hindi has attended Two Days Seminar on Future of Hindi in 21st Century organized by Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Paryag at Bhiwani from Ist to 2nd November, 2003.
