Women Cell

The college  has established  a  women  cell in the  college   campus . It is   working  effectively  towards  creating  an awareness  among students  about  the rights  of women in society. Extensive  group  Discussions , Lectures , seminars and other  competitions  related  to  gender issues  are organized  by the cell.

Some  of the  activities  undertaken  during  the session  2003-04  were 

1. A Meeting with SDM & ICDS Officers attended in DC office on May 14, 2003 to suggest a strategy  in fight against social evils & create awareness regarding gender issues.

2.  A Meeting with DC on July 24, 2003 to review of abovesaid strategy.

3. Creation of constituency for fight against social evils.

4. Workshop on 'The Status o Women i contemporary World' attended on Oct. 17, 2003.

5. The Principal gave oath against dowry on  Sept. 3, 2003.

6. Inter Class Declamation Contest in association with Economics Association on "Investment Education for women Empowerment on Sept. 30, 2003.

7. Seminar on Women & Work on Nov. 13, 2003

8. Panel discussion on ‘The Role of Youth in Fight Against Dowry’  on Nov. 27, 2003.

9. Seminar and group  discussion on ‘Gender Discrimination’ on Dec. 5, 2003.

10. Regional (North) Seminar attended by the Women Cell Incharge on Jan. 10, 2004 on the Topic "Atrocities against Women".

11. Group  discussions   on "Gender Inequalities" on March 29, 2004.

12. Lecture on "Gender Development Index and Economic Growth" on March 23, 2004.

13. Orientation Course in Women Studies attended by The Women Cell Incharge at Kurukshetra University from April 20,
